Day 53 - Liam's actual birthday

February 22nd, 2009



My baby turned 3 today!! We skipped church this morning cause the boys and I are kinda sick, just colds but I can't leave them in the nursery when they are sick. We went to youth group today. We didn't do anything birthday related only because he had his party yesterday and we're having family over on Wed. for more birthday celebration. I took this picture before Liam went to bed. He's sitting with a bunch of the toys he got. Cars, dinosaurs, tool box, stuffed dog . . .and many more.

Day 52 - Liam's Dinosaur Birthday Party

Today we had Liam's birthday party. He had lots of friends over: Raine, Josh, Carter & Drew, Hunter & Julian, Ryley & Norah, Liam. They played, painted and drew on their book bags, had dinosaur cake, opened gifts. They all had so much fun. I think the party was a great success!

Day 51 - A day at home

Nothing much going on today. Stayed at home and the boys played and I did the normal house work stuff.

Day 50 - Adoption Paper work

February 19th, 2009



Stayed home today and got some paper work done for the adoption. The Dosiier (the packet of paperwork that goes to Ethiopia) is very detailed and extensive. It's easy to get confused on what needs to be done when and how. A bunch of the papers have to be noterized and some also need a state seal, whatever that is. We need letters from the Police dept., our doctor, Dave's boss, reference letters, Birth and marriage cirtificates etc. So, today I organized it all into this file book. I also got a lot of it ready to go. So, we're very close to be done with it. However, we can't send it on until we get approval from the US Citizen and Imigration Services. Soon, soon!

Day 49 - The Shower

Today was Amanda's baby shower. I made a cake and chocolate dipped strawberries. It all turned out so good and I was so proud of myself. The beautiful flowers were a birthday gift from Dave!

Day 48 - Preparation for Amanda's Baby shower

Today I spent some time getting things ready for Amanda's shower. I bought all the candy I needed for the game and got it all displayed.

Day 47 - Birthday extension :-)

Once again another day with no picture. :-/ BUT it was a GOOOOD Day!! Dave surprized me today since yesterday my birthday was a flop. I woke up and found a note in the bathroom saying to have the boys and myself ready to walk out the door by 12:30. He came to pick us up and we drove to a friends house where he took the boys in and Dave and I drove on. We then went to Zen garden for lunch which was wonderful and then we stopped at a couple stores just for fun before returning to pick up the boys.

Day 46 - My Birthday

Today was Sunday. And my birthday, not a fun combination. Why? Because Sundays are Dave biggest work days. Liam was a little brat all morning but I finally got myself and the boys to church. Tonight Was youth group. Two different students made me cakes. It was so thoughtful of them. One was Becca and we shared it in our small grou. I wish I would have gotten a picture of the cake and us girls together. Oh well. So, that was nice but over all it was kind of a bummer day with Liam being naughty all day and Dave working.

Day 45 - Valentine's Day

February 14th, 2009



This is kind of an after thought picture. Becca babysat the boys and Dave took me to the Ale House for dinner. Then we walked the mall a bit and went to the grocery store to pick up some ice cream and this little heart cake. It was nice to have Dave all to myself.

Day 44 - Police Deptartment

February 13th, 2009



Today Dave and I ran some arrends for our adoption stuff. We went to the Police Dept. to get a letter saying that we're not bad guys. One more thing out of the way.

Day 43 - ??

I didn't get a picture and in all honesty, looking back (since I am posting this late) I can't remember if anything happened on this day. oh well.

Day 42 - Dinner with Friends

This evenign I went out to dinner at the Olive Garden with Becca and Lexi, a couple of high school girls from church. It was a lot of fun and we had some good laughs. Afterwards, Lexi had to go home but Becca and I went shopping. It was great to have some girl time and just hang out.

Day 41 - Clapping

Another day at home. Liam and I taught Gabriel how to clap. It was so cute! And G-man was so proud of himself. he would bob his head and smile SO big while he would clap.

Day 40 - Not much going on

It's Monday and we did nothing. It was nice to have a down day to recoop. Gabriel took up a new interest in the frig though which I thought was pretty strange and picture worthy.

Day 39 - Home

February 8th, 2009



We got back this afternoon and it was so nice to be HOME! I just was so tired and ready for bed the moment we got home. Do dinner we taught the boys how to suck in their noodles. It was pretty funny!

Day 38 - Winterfest day 2

So, we spent the afternoon in the snow. Dave had the students have a snow sculpture competition. Liam enjoyed being bundled up and romping around in the snow.

Day 37 - Winterfest Day 1

So, we headed to Twin Peaks Bible camp for a 3 day/ 2 night stay with 22 high school students. This is my friend Becca!

Day 36 - Packing for Winterfest

So, I didn't get a picture today but I'm sure you can picture lots of laundry and a suitcase full of clothes. We were packing to go into the mountains for our youth retreat.

Day 35 - Aftershock

Today was Aftershock again (the open house for high school students). This is Liam sitting on the couch with Daniel, one of the seniors, sharing pretzels. Liam LOVES Aftershock nights. He just thrives on having the house filled with crazy kids.

Day 34 - Walk to the Park

We didn't do a whole lot today but when Dave got home from work in the afternoon we took the boys for a walk down to the park. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! I am so excited for spring. We played with the boy on the play ground equipment and they had a blast.

Day 33 - Family Breakfast

After Dave having to work all day Sunday he decided to work some from home and just spend the day with us. :-) So, the four of us went out to breakfast and the Black Bear Diner. It was so nice and the boys were well behaved and happy. It was just a wonderful morning!

Day 32 - Super Bowl Sunday

We had a "Soup"erbowl party at church for the high schoolers. Although I brought my camera I forgot to get any pictures, too busy chasing around my kids. Dave made the entrance few 5 or more non-perishable items to donate to the food bank. We ended up with a ton of stuff. It was pretty cool.

Day 31 - Girls' Slumber Party

Today I had 6 high school girls over for a slumber party. We have small groups within our youth group and these girls are in mine. We had a lot of fun and some good laughs. My battery was charging most of the time so I didn't get any pictures of the girls. :-( This is a picture of some of the junk food that was lying around. :-)

Day 30 - no picture

No picture. . . :-( Yeah, I just didn't get a picture taken today. So, I suppose you can assume it was a terribly uneventful day.

Day 29 - Had some friends over

Some friends from church had invited us over but Dave asked if they could come to our house instead cause it's easier with the boys. So they brought over some pizza and I made dessert. This is Eclair pie and it's amazing! After dinner we played some Settlers of Catan.

Day 28 - Still Recovering

January 28th, 2009



I've been sick a week and a half now and Liam's been sick 3 or so days. He was up and around a little today but still complaining of a head ache and he looked tired. After a little playing with his trains he crashed on the couch again.

Day 27 - Nothing

Yeah, we did nothing today. Liam and I still weren't feeling well and Liam's had an up and down fever.

Day 26 - Bethany's Birthday

January 26th, 2009



Today was my little sister Bethany's 13th birthday. Liam was sick with a fever so Gabriel and I went to Bethany's little family party. My sister Mandy made Bethany and beautifulq, tasty cake. I still can't believe the baby of the family is already a teenager.
